- Decide on date, time, formality and theme of your wedding
- Choose your ceremony and reception venues and book
- Book a Minister or Celebrant
- Discuss and decide on your budget
- Start a health and beauty program
- Begin consulting a Wedding Co-ordinator if desired
- Hold an engagement party

- Start looking at bridal attire (consider the theme and formality of your wedding) and try on different styles
- Begin compiling a guest list
- Give advance notice to long distance guests
- Discuss and investigate honeymoon plans
- Choose your photographer and videographer
- Chose a Master or Ceremonies (MC) for your reception
- Consider the music/musicians/entertainment for the ceremony and reception
- Make sure you have a birth certificate or a certified extract and if not, obtain one
- Consider wedding vehicles
- Look at your stationery options and requirements
- Choose a gift registry
- Discuss catering, drinks and hire equipment requirements, consult the appropriate companies and book

- Choose outfits for you wedding party and book, buy or lay-buy
- Order your wedding rings
- Consult with a stationer/printer about your stationery requirements and order
- Finalise your quest list
- Choose a Florist and discuss options and color schemes
- Finalise all details with reception venue, caterer and hire company
- Discuss and decide on the order and content of your ceremony and reception e.g. wording , songs, entertainment ect
- Decide on your wedding transport and book
- Choose the person/business who will design and make your wedding cake and begin proceedings
- Discuss your requirements with your photographer and videographer
- Book the people to be involved in your ceremony and reception e.g. organist, musicians, singers, entertainers
- Choose a make-up artist and hairdresser
- In consultation with your gift registry, draw up a gift list
- Finalise your honeymoon and wedding night plans
- Have inoculations if traveling overseas
- Organise for a marriage license

- Send out your wedding invitations and registry lists
- Buy wedding shoes and lingerie
- Finalise details with your florist
- Order your wedding cake
- Decide on your songs/music for the ceremony and reception (keep in mind that the first dance is especially memorable)
- Have your wedding rings engraved and pick them up
- Select those you would like to give speeches and ask them

- Confirm that your Minister/Celebrant has all the correct documents
- Confirm all of your bookings and arrangements
- Draw up a seating plan for your guests
- Ask your speakers to prepare their speeches
- Have a final fitting for everyone in the bridal party
- Have make-up and hairstyle trial and have a facial
- Buy gifts for your attendants, your parents, and each other
- Arrange a wedding rehearsal and notify all involved
- Arrange for name changes if required

- Organise a wedding notice to go in local newspapers
- Check that your speakers are preparing their speeches
- Collect the bridal outfits and store them properly (if you are buying them)
- Trial your hairstyle with your headwear
- Men to have hair cuts
- Confirm the final number of guests and finalise your seating plan
- Confirm with your attendants what their duties are
- Order any overseas currency and travelers' cheques that you require and finalise your travel details
- Have your wedding rehearsal and give a wedding day timetable to all involved
- Double check all bookings and orders
- Finalise your order of service and collect stationery

- Have your engagement ring cleaned by a jeweler
- Pack for your honeymoon (don't forget passports)
- Organise someone to return any hired outfits and equipment
- Confirm all delivery and pickup arrangements e.g. flowers, transport , hire equipment, cake ect.
- Try on the wedding outfits and collect any hire outfits
- Have stationery ready to be placed in church and on tables at reception
- Rest as much as possible

- Give your gifts to your attendants, your parents and each other
- Make sure everything is ready for you honeymoon
- Organise someone to drop off your overnight bags to your wedding night accommodation
- Have a manicure
- Have a relaxed day and sleep well
